FAQs
Should you get another opinion about suggested dental treatment?
It's a good idea if what has been suggested is extensive or expensive.
Do I need root canal treatment?
Hopefully not, however, many times the diagnosis is complex because in these cases, the tooth nerve is on the brink of being saved or,
conversely, could need a root canal treatment.
Can a tooth be close to being lost due to gum disease even
before severe symptoms occur?
Sometimes yes. Most adults should be
checked very closely for signs of serious gum
disease on a regular basis. Most tooth loss
in adults is due to advanced gum disease
that has progressed in many cases with few
symptoms.
Are implants the answer to my missing or soon-to-be missing teeth?
Implant replacement of missing teeth is state-of-the-art and standard of care now.
However, it is expensive and not suitable in every case. With more than two decades of experience in restoring teeth with implants placed by Dr. Effron's partner oral surgeons, Dr. Effron is highly qualified to help you decide what you should do in your particular case.
